Beautiful Minnie Mouse Birthday Party for a Two-Year-Old

Ciara Hunter

When my daughter turned two, I knew that a beautiful Minnie Mouse birthday party would be the perfect theme for her celebration. I wanted something elegant and fun, and this Minnie Mouse party did the trick. Keep reading to see how we made the magic happen!

In the post below, I will share the Minnie Mouse party ideas that I ended up using at our two-year-old’s birthday party. I will share what I used for the cake, decorations, food, and even some gift ideas. My tip for party planning is to start sooner rather than later! This post contains affiliate links.

Pastel Balloon Arch

After choosing a theme, the balloon arch is typically what I plan for next. I base the entire party around colors from the balloon arch. I knew I wanted a gold and pink arch, so I chose this one. My tip for balloon arches is to purchase a balloon pump. This will save you so much time! I’ve linked mine below.

Minnie Mouse Birthday Cake

This was my first time creating a two-tiered cake. Surprisingly, it turned out well! I usually bake my cakes one day, crumb coat them the next, and then decorate them the day before the party. I found the sprinkles, decor balls, and gold letters on Amazon. The Minnie Mouse cut-out was a printable from Etsy. I can no longer find the exact clipart. It is not edible! Below are some of my favorite cake-decorating items and display stands.

Minnie Mouse Party Food

I wanted to keep it fairly simple for the party food. The charcuterie cups and Minnie Mouse sandwiches took the longest, but they were a hit. I also did a veggie tray and dip, some fruit, and a couple of crunchy items. I bought the plates and napkins from Dollar General. I find those are the cheapest there!

Minnie Mouse sandwiches and food

I used the cookie cutters below to make the sandwiches. It works best by doing each ingredient one at a time. Yes, this did take some time, but this was also the main dish for the party. I used the largest size one.

I used my daughter’s Minnie Mouse doll as a table decoration as well as this gold cart I found at the Target Dollar Spot. The transparent serving dishes are from Dollar Tree and they are my biggest hack! My charcuterie cups had a mix of popcorn, crackers, strawberries, and meat and cheese from a veggie tray.

I ordered the cupcakes from Walmart (also another great hack because they are cheap) and I found these cupcake toppers on Amazon. I used white chocolate to dip Golden Oreos and used the same sprinkles I used for the cake. I also found these cute little donuts at Wal-Mart and had to pick them up!

Minnie Mouse Gift Ideas

Gift ideas for 2 year old

I have an entire list of 2-year-old birthday ideas, but for the sake of this blog post, I will share the Minnie Mouse-specific ones below. If I wasn’t able to find the exact item, I linked something similar. My daughter’s favorite is the Minnie dress-up doll. She also loves her Minnie Mouse plushie!

Outdoor Balloon Arch and Gift Table

We set up the gift table outside because that’s where we spent most of our time during the party. I decided to do a balloon arch and backdrop by the gift table as well. I thought it added to the gift area! These balloons are from SHEIN. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where I got the garland. I think Target.

Outdoor Play Area for Party

Birthday play area outside with pool and bounce house

There were going to be several kids at the party of various ages, so we decided that it would be best to have areas for all of them to play. The older kids could swim in the pool while the younger kids played in the bounce house. My biggest tip for the bounce house is to get outdoor rugs underneath the pool area!

Up Balloon Display and Slide

I had to share this cute setup that my mother-in-law did! At the time, my daughter was obsessed with the Up movie. My mother-in-law ordered balloons and tied them to this little slide. My daughter thought it was the best! This slide is a makeover I did on the Step2 Lookout Climber. Check out this video to see how I did it!
